Virtual Crash belongs to a new generation of software products for the simulation of traffic accidents. It allows a detailed display of complex traffic events on a personal computer in 3D space and in real time.

Virtual Crash is a software package that allows the identification of the causes and circumstances under which a traffic accident occurred. It's a tool that performs complex calculations which would be impossible to achieve without using a computer.

Computer analysis of traffic accidents

For the proper use of the Virtual Crash, it is necessary to have the expert knowledge in the field of trafficking, in particular in the analysis of car accidents, as well as good computer skills. Virtual Crash is a tool used in the analysis of traffic accidents, and the quality of the input data based on which the program performs the calculations depends on the quality of the expertise of the expert witness and the quality of material evidence.

Virtual Crash program allows the check of the parameters set out by conventional methods, and more precisely to identify those parameters which could not be identified by classical methods. Thus it can identify the point of impact when the collision traces are not discovered or not well uncovered. For example, in cases when there are no traces of the accident, but the damage to the vehicles is known, as well as the stopping position of the vehicle, the directions of the vehicle movement and the injuries to persons who were in vehicles were described. Based on the damage, it is possible to accurately determine the relative position of the vehicle at the time of the collision, and taking into account the injuries to the people who were in the vehicle, it is possible to calculate the speed at which the vehicle was moving at the time of the collision. Based on these data, Virtual Crash can determine the point of impact.

Simulation results

Simulation results can be seen in the plane (as a two-dimensional image) or as a spatial 3D (three-dimensional) image, and the simulation parameters can be viewed in the form of diagrams and tables. By placing cameras at different positions in the virtual 3D space in which the traffic accident occurred, it is possible to see the event from different angles, as it was seen by the drivers, pedestrians and other participants.
